PROJECT THREE: VF-1 (VIPER FISH)
SEE, AND BE SEEN.
FIND, AND BE FOUND.

At around 140mm/5.51" wide, and with several mounting options (including Molle-style, locking clips, or side straps), the VF-1 (CODE NAME: VIPER FISH), is a device designed for low light (or no light) situations. One facet of the device uses a switchable military-style infrared beacon (to assist responders during search and rescue operations). In addition, we have developed a system which provides (very) extended-duration visibility in low light scenarios. The system is safe, stable, reliable, and shock and water resistant.

Two versions are planned:
VF-1: The VF-1 is intended for normal use, and will be constructed out of tough ABS and anodized aluminum or powder coated steel.
VF-1A: The VF-1A will feature the same ultra-reliable MIL-SPEC circuit components and design as the VF-1, but will be constructed primarily with composites. Like the VF-1, the VF-1A will make use of resin "ghost circuitry", making the main electronics assembly impervious to water. In addition, the VF-1A will use additional penetration inhibitors for the housing, making it suitable for diving. The design for the VF-1A can only be described as "hardcore", and is intended for anyone who may find themselves alone in the dark... often.

As a patent will soon be filed, it is not yet plausible to reveal the exact functionality or full capabilities of the VF-1 or VF-1A. A proof-of-concept prototype has been constructed, and is currently undergoing a testing, revisions, and output measurements phase.
The VF-1 is more compact, more powerful, more useful, and more robust than you may imagine. It also looks nothing like a fish! Details and use cases will be published on this page as they become available. The VF-1 and VF-1A are expected to be available by late 2026-early 2027.
